Lords Group Foundation was established in 2021 by Lords Trading Group. The foundation aims to make meaningful contributions to community projects in the areas in which they operate, especially in initiatives where its staff can engage in a hands-on way with local stakeholders.
How do we work together?
We are proud to partner with Lords, who have been a pillar of the West London community for over 35 years. As well as providing financial support, Lords have also provided hands-on help with local initiatives in our school communities. In the Spring, they donated spades, trowels and paint to us to be used at our partner school, Avonmore Primary School to help the young people prepare their school garden for the new season. Spearheaded by our Link Worker, Lucy Wadam, the award-winning club has enabled the pupils to learn important skills and life lessons, developing their creativity and curiosity about the environment and helping them to boost their wellbeing.
Along with providing support during term time, we are thrilled that Lords are sponsoring our Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Community Fun Days this year. These annual events see hundreds of children and families come together to celebrate their achievements on the programme, and their hard work during the school year. In keeping with their ethos, Lords are not just providing financial support, but will be offering practical assistance during the events.
What’s so important about their work
The Lords Group Foundation is committed to building stronger communities in the UK by supporting projects and initiatives that will empower communities. They are particularly driven to support community centres and other provisions that benefit groups who have specific needs by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship, or social circumstances.
Plans for the future
As an official charity partner of the Lords Westbourne Grove branch, we continue to cement our place in the community, helping young people to develop the skills, self-belief and relationships they need to thrive into adulthood.
We thank Lords Group for their generous financial and time commitments and we are excited to partner with a local organisation who will help us achieve our mission.
